MH latex elastic thread is a covered elastic sewing thread built on a rubber or latex core with a polyester or metallic yarn cover, produced in 37#, 42# and 63# sizes.

Garment factories run this elastic thread in the bobbin for shirring, where the stitch line gathers the fabric into even ruffles, and use it on waistbands, cuffs, necklines, smocking panels and elastic trims. 

The same thread is also used in knitting, crochet, glove and sock work.
